Library book club meets Tuesday
The Kona Library Book Club meets at 11 a.m. Tuesday on the library lanai to discuss “Lost in Shangri-La” by Mitchell Zuckoff. New members are welcome.
The book tells the true story of American servicemen and WACs who crashed while on a sightseeing trip. Their survival and the stunning efforts undertaken to save them places this among the great survival stories of World War II.
The club will meet in July to discuss “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” by Rebecca Skloot.
